Wegovy For Sale
Wegovy is a weight loss injection for overweight adults or adults with obesity. It contains the active ingredient semaglutide, which mimics a naturally occurring hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). This hormone helps to regulate your blood sugar levels, and also sends signals to receptors in your brain that manage your appetite, allowing you to feel fuller for longer.
Wegovy is prescribed to be taken just once a week alongside a diet and exercise plan to help you lose weight. Taken as prescribed, it can help you lose up to 17% of your starting weight.
To be eligible for Wegovy, you must have a body mass index (BMI) of 30, or over 27 and a weight-related medical condition or risk factor, such as high blood pressure.
What Is Wegovy?
Wegovy is a weight loss injection that can be an effective aid to support a weight loss journey when used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased exercise. The weight loss drug contains the active ingredient semaglutide.
Unlike other weight loss treatments, Wegovy is injected once a week and can be used by adults with a body mass index (BMI) over 30. It can also be used by people with a BMI over 27 with weight-related conditions (such as high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes).
0.25mg – Starter Dose
This is the starter dose, which is used for the first 4 weeks to allow your body to adjust.
0.5mg – Titration Dose
This dose follows 0.25mg and continues the safe titration process.
1mg – Effective Dose
Patients typically begin to notice more significant weight loss at this stage.
1.7mg – Titration Dose
This dose should only be used after titration. This dose is often associated with more visible progress.
2.4mg – Maintenance Dose
This is the full maintenance dose, where maximum weight loss is typically achieved.
How to Take Wegovy
The dose is increased every 4 weeks for 16 weeks. This means that patients take a 0.25mg once weekly dose for the first 4 weeks and gradually increase it until they reach the maintenance dose of 2.4 mg once weekly from week 17 onwards.
This gradual increase is important because it minimises the risk of side effects. If side effects do occur, most will be experienced during the dose-escalation phase before improving.
